TurfTraderUSA.com was developed to bring buyers and sellers
of turf equipment together. Equipment listed on the site is used for the maintenance
of golf courses and athletic fields, commercial lawn maintenance, or in the production of turfgrass.
Our goal is to become the largest online marketplace for
turf equipment. Our advertisers include equipment dealers, golf courses, recreation
departments, individuals and anyone else with turf equipment for sale.
The idea for TurfTraderUSA began when Ryan Woodard of Georgia Turf and Tractor was listing used equipment on ebay.
He realized how expinsive it is to sell items on that site. He also thought that a site designed specifically to sell turf equipment would work better.
Ryan decided to start a website where anyone could buy or sell turf equipment. Ryan called his friend Jonathan Mounce of Capital City Turf and told him about the idea.
They pooled their resources to start TurfTraderUSA.com, LLC. They hired a web designer to begin building the site.The site went online in the summer of 2007.
Ryan is a graduate of Georgia Southern University. He has experience in turfgrass production, lawn maintenance, and several aspects of the turf equipment business.
He is responsible for making changes to the site and advertising the site. He also remains employed by Georgia Turf and Tractor.
Jonathan is a graduate of The University of Alabama. His experience includes, athletic field maintenance and construction, turfgrass production, and turfgrass sales.
Jonathan's main responsibility at TurfTraderUSA is to get people to advertise on the site. He also remains employed by Capital City Turf.
